Special Precautions
Bleeding disorder. Concomitant use w/ blood thinning agent (eg, warfarin, aspirin & other NSAIDs).
Adverse Reactions
Omega-3 fatty acids 1-3 g/day: Mild GI upset (eg, nausea & diarrhea), halitosis, eructation, "fishy" smelling breath, skin & urine; ≥3 g/day: Bleeding & easy bruising. Zn >30 mg: Nausea & vomiting. Fe >120 mg/day: Nausea, vomiting, bloating & upper abdominal discomfort. Black stools, diarrhea or constipation.
